Paul Andrew Williams. You need to know about him.
Paul Andrew Williams. He wrote and directed the gritty and highly original (well, it does do some visual “homages”) London to Brighton and the flawed, but funny horror comedy The Cottage with Andy Serkis in the lead role.
The reason you need to know about him is because he’s an awesome European writer/director and he consistently writes great many-sided characters better than, well, most great writers I know about. There are two scenes in particular in London to Brighton to look out for. First is a couple of thugs acquiring a weapon. Their method speaks volumes about them. And the second is a man and a woman in a diner talking to a kid who ran away from home.
